Weekend Party Drags, Miss Temple Party Will be chosen A true bikini contest based on beauty instead of how many clothes a contestant will shed has always brought out some of the choicest ladles In the Great State of Texas! A $100 cash prize, along with a large trophy will be awarded to the flrst place winner. A substantial list of merchandise donated by the Vendors will be divided among all the contestants. The winner will be featured on TEXASSCOOTER.COM. Motorcycle related businesses are encouraged to sponsor entries. Contestants wilt be allowed to wear sponsors ribbons during the weekend festivities. Scheduled Shortly after the dragstrip racin' action shuts down for the day Saturday at Temple is a good old fashioned FIELD MEET. A largege area will be roped off before hand and about 5:30 and the Games Begin! Officiated by "Game Master" J.R. , several, low speed riding skill games will be played with trophies going to the Winners and Runners up. All time favorites, "WEENlE BITE CONTEST" and"SLOW RACE" are in the line up along with games the Game Master doesn't want to say ahead of time so folks won't practice. There's no extra charge to participate in the FIELD MEET and it's open to folks riding any brand of Street Legal Motorcycle!!!

Campfires unfortunately will NOT be allowed at the Temple Harley Drags this year. We enjoy a good fire as much as anybody, but dry conditions make any sort of groundfires dangerous. For cooking, please use some sort of enclosed pit or smoker or whatever and be cautious with any coals. We're figuring on a BIG race with Lot's of Burn Outs. Let's keep 'em at the starting line.....

Texas Finest Custom Harleys are expected at the Temple Harley Drags. In the past the Show Area underneath the pecan trees was filled with Shined Scooters and crowds of picture takers, spectators and just plain curious mingling. Classification of the "All Harley" show breaks the competitors into; Trike, Antique (Panhead and Earlier), Chopper, Custom Stock, Dresser, Modified, High Performance and Rat Bike. Trophys will be awarded right at the show with trophys placed next to the bikes during the last hour of the show. Trophys will be given to the first, second and third in each class. Judging will be based on paint, Chrome, Safety, Chassis, Upholstery, Electrical, Wheels, Originality, and Engine Details. No entry fee will be charged for the bike show. Registration will be from 10 A.M til 2 P.M. Saturday. Judging starts at 2 P.M. Shine 'em up and Bring 'em.

Each evening at the Temple Harley Drags, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, after all the Racin'^Showin' & Field Meetin' are done for the day, folks gather up at the bleachers for the night-time PARTY. Across the track, a large flat bed trailer is set up with the Budweiser Booth putting out them cold ones. It's KICK BACK Time as some of the BEST Rock and Blues bands in Texas Turn - It - Up 'till after Midnight.

Due to insurance reasons, the Texas Scooter Times asks you not to bring any pets to the Temple Party Drags. Dogs, Cats, snakes and fighting chickens, especially, will not be allowed through the gate. The Scooter Times apologizes for any inconvience this may cause but our main goal is to keep our events as safe as possible, So leave the pets at home and come out to the drags

Parents with children are especially requested to be mindful of their children. Drag Racing motorcycles is a great sport. It teaches youth about mechanical skills, about achieving goals, and sportsman like conduct. We love kids; however, wild, loose children at a drag strip are a danger to themselves and others as well. We’re not asking that you “hold their hands” at all times, but be sure they know how to act.
