...Plans for a Wake/Memorial for John "Burn-Out" Blanton Saturday Nite August 30th during Labor Day Weekend at Jerry’s Place,
the little roadhouse at the end of his favorite dragstrip are in progress. Hosted by Maddog Phillip & Theresa, the side room at
Jerry’s Place will be used as a gathering place for Burn-Out’s many friends and fans to hoist a cold one or two at the cash bar and
share memories.
...The Wake/Memorial is scheduled from 9pm until 11pm so racers at the John "Burn-Out" Blanton Memorial Temple "All Harley"
Party Drags will have time to clean up and rest after Saturday’s Time Trials and Qualifying. John’s grown daughter Bonnie Blanton,
named after Bonnie Truett, is expected to attend along with her better half Duncan as well as many many more of his friends,
relatives, racin’ buddies, and probably more than a few folks that didn’t know him but just want to get in on a "GOOD TIME".
...’Cause anybody that KNEW, Burn-Out, Knew that if there was any chance at having a Good Time - He’d be the first one to take it...

....Photo’s and other memoribilia are being solicited by Maddog for both the Saturday Nite PARTY at the end of Little River
Dragway’s shutdown area and for display in the room all weekend long as a large part of the Labor Day Weekend’s crowd are
